Dunkin Brands got its start in 1948. That's when William Rosenberg focused his mission. His goal? He said he wanted "to make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in well merchandised stores'.
So, Rosenberg opened "Open Kettle" in Quincy, Massachusetts. The price for a good cup of coffee? It was just five cents in those days.
Over the next 10 years, Rosenberg opened another 100 coffee shops.
