Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis sat down with TheStreet's Laurie Kulikowski at the ICR Xchange conference in Orlando, Fla. Travis says while the recent rough winter weather has been somewhat good for sales, overall it's not good for the industry because customers don't want to venture out of their homes. Travis also says that competition from Panera Breads, Starbucks, McDonald's and Burger King is welcomed and makes the company stronger. Dunkin' plans to open 800 stores in 2014, about 400 of which in the U.S., surpassing last year's U.S. store openings of 371.
