DreamWorks Animation Reports Earnings, Beats Analyst Estimates

Entertainment company DreamWorks Animation reported third quarter earnings after the bell on Wednesday, exceeding analyst expectations. The company posted earnings per share of 14 cents, beating analyst estimates of 8 cents and two cents higher than last year's 12 cents per share. As for the top line, revenue came in at $180.9 million, missing forecasts of $182.6 million, but significantly higher than last year's sales of $154.5 million. Shares of DreamWorks Animation finished the trading day down almost 2 percent closing at $23.29 per share. The stock is up 34 percent since the start of the year.
