Dow and S&P 500 Snap Two-Day Losing Streak, GE Suffers Worst Day in Years
An uncertain day ended with small gains for benchmark indexes, snapping a two-day losing streak for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500. Wall Street held onto those gains through to the close even as General Electric Co. (GE) - Get General Electric Company Report suffered its worst day since 2009.
JD.Com Inc. (JD) - Get JD.com Inc. 京东 Report rallied after pulling in $19 billion in China's Singles' Day over the weekend and posting an unexpected profit over its recent quarter. Revenue rose 39% over the three months to September.
NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) - Get NVIDIA Corporation Report was upgraded to MARKET PERFORM from UNDERPERFORM at BMO Capital after the chipmaker reported a better-than-expected quarter last week. Analysts pointed to outperformance at its datacenter operations.
