Dow and DuPont Deal Could Be in Trouble

The proposed merger between Dow Chemical (DOW) - Get Report and DuPont (DD) - Get Report could be in jeopardy as lawmakers and regulators prepare to take a closer look at the agriculture business. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley announced last week that the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold hearings on the consolidation within the industry. But, regardless of what comes out of the Senate committee's hearings, the Justice Department has the ultimate say. Real Money's Tony Owusu says it may be an indication of how the department will look at the agribusiness mergers.
