Donald Trump Still Tops National Polls, Despite Ted Cruz’s Rise
The first GOP presidential debate of 2016 airs Thursday night on Fox Business Network and Donald Trump continues to lead the Republican candidates.
The first GOP presidential debate of 2016 airs Thursday night on Fox Business Network. According to the latest national poll from CBS/NY Times, Donald Trump is still the front runner by far with 36 percent of the vote. Though Texas Senator Ted Cruz is gaining steam with 19 percent. Florida Senator Marco Rubio's numbers have also been improving – he is in third place with 12 percent. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and former HP CEO Carly Fiorina won't be on the main stage debate after falling behind in the polls.
