Does Coach Need a Pep Talk? Monday's Chart of the Day

Does handbag retailer Coach need a pep talk, or a time out from public markets? Last week's update only served to spook shareholders. Its debt to equity ratio is low, and the company's gross profit margin would be the envy of any buyer. But, it's footprint is too big, and its most recent guidance wasn't anything reassuring based on its existing North American presence. Perhaps all that could stave off value erosion at this market kingpin could be an LBO, and one to a sizeable sponsor that can continue to maintain the quality of the brand while also guiding it through a difficult transition.
