Disney Seeks Partners for Media Streaming Service

Disney is looking for other Hollywood studios to partner with to add to the library for its digital movie service.

Disney (DIS) - Get Report is hoping to partner with other major movie studios for its Disney Movies Anywhere service. The company hopes to expand its library outside of just its own content to increase the appeal of the burgeoning streaming service it launched in 2014. Disney Movies Anywhere allows users to store and access movies at a single site, regardless of where they purchased the content from digitally. The service offers movies from all of the company's brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm. Disney Movies Anywhere competes with UltraViolet, a service that features films from Time Warner owned Warner Brothers, Comcast owned Universal Pictures, Sony Owned Paramount/Viacom and 21st Century Fox.
