Shares of Disney (DIS) - Get Report climbed more than 1% in morning trading Monday after the Los Angeles-based media giant scored a record-breaking weekend with its latest hit, Finding Dory. The follow-up to the 2003 Pixar blockbuster Finding Nemo broke box office records for animated films, grossing  $136 million over this opening weekend. Disney now stands in an ideal position to capture future success of the Pixar franchise, after acquiring the studio that Steve Jobs helped launch in the 1990s for $7.4 billion in 2006.
