Dish Networks reported earnings on Monday that beat analyst estimates. The second largest U.S. satellite TV provider posted earnings of $0.76, up from last year's $0.38. Revenue increased around 3 percent to $3.72 billion and average monthly revenue per subscriber climbed to $86.01, following price hikes. Subscriber numbers were down as Dish lost around 134,000 TV customers this quarter, that's compared to a gain of 40,000 this time last year. Dish is facing a scramble for market share from competitors like Amazon and Netflix. The company introduced online streaming service SlingTV back in February to try and capture a younger viewing audience.
