Did Disney Price Gouge Hurricane Irma Evacuees?
People were appalled when they discovered the price gouging at Disney for the Hurricane Irma evacuees.
Hurricane Irma Evacuees at Disney World resorts tweeted pictures that show bottles of water selling for $2 and juice boxes for $2.69. Disney (DIS) - Get Report called it an "isolated situation" that's since been rectified. The spokesman also said it was the work of an "over-anxious cast member." The company also offered discount meal options. Hurricane Irma forced Disney World to close its parks for only the sixth time in its 45 year history.
