Did Amazon Make a Mistake Saying There's No Antitrust Issues With the WFM Deal?

Amazon's MarketPlace may set off some regulatory alarms.

Scott Cleland, president of the consultancy Precursor LLC, says acquiring Whole Foods Market (WFM) could raise antitrust concerns and points to Amazon.com's (AMZN) - Get Amazon.com, Inc. Report Marketplace. Amazon MarketPlace sells online retailers products wholesale so they can then sell to consumers at a markup. The Marketplace includes 15 of Amazon's top 20 grocery competitors.
