Diamonds, Watches, Handbags: How Wall Street Does Valentine's Day
Those who work on Wall Street will spend big bucks this Valentine's Day at luxury retailers like New York's Bergdorf Goodman, where some of this year's top splurge-worthy gifts can be found. For the guy on-the-go, a $12,000 Ostrich skin travel bag by Prada will get him in there in style. Lois Sasson's approximately $16,000 Ambassador set ensures a man is dressed to the nines for any special occasion. For the special lady in their lives, bankers with more than a couple bucks to burn may opt for Tom Ford's Charlotte tote. Comprised of shiny alligator skin accented with gold galvanized brass hardware, this accessory comes with a price tag of $27,500. And some will spend even more -- despite the National Retail Federation's expectation that the average person in the U.S. will spend just about $142 on Valentine's Day this year.
