The first Democratic debate pitted upstart Bernie Sanders and frontrunner Hillary Clinton against each other, but candidates that have not been polling as high as the two leaders grabbed the crowd's attention. A Sanders presidency would be America's first socialist in office while Clinton would be the first woman -- and, of course, the only first lady to become President.
