Delta Airlines'(DAL) earnings beat Wall Street estimates but the strong dollar is forcing the carrier to scale back its international routes. Delta will stop service to Moscow, and will reduce capacity to Japan, India and parts of the Middle East. While Delta is saving $2-billion this year on fuel costs, it will not pass on the savings to customers. Estimize's Sr. VP Christine Short tells TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler that they like carriers in the domestic space, since the strong dollar won't impact their earnings. Those carriers include Southwest, JetBlue and Alaska Air. She expects United Air and American Air to be impacted by the dollar.
