Deadline Looms as Obamacare Aims For 7 Million Enrollments
The U.S. online healthcare exchange portal suffers a technical glitch and brings down the site.
The race is on for uninsured Americans to sign up for the Affordable Care Act and for the White House to achieve their goal of 7 million enrollments before a midnight deadline Monday. As of the end of last week, the Obama Administration said it had signed up more than 6 million and on Sunday alone, HealthCare.gov received more than 1.7 million visits. However, with less than 24 hours to go, the online portal suffered a technical glitch which brought the site down for around four hours.
