The data center business is changing as cloud and security offerings are becoming more important than storage and basic infrastructure, said Paul Lidsky, CEO of Datalink. Lidsky added that margins in the storage business are eroding due to fierce competition, making consultative services far more important. He said Datalink's acquisition of Bear Data Solutions last month enabled the company to grow strategically and geographically in a turnkey deal.
