Darden Earnings, Housing Data: What to Watch on Wall Street Dec. 16

For Tuesday, December 16th we note three earnings to watch for including full service restaurant company, Darden Restaurants Inc (DRI). The parent company of brands including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and the Capital Grille is scheduled to post its fiscal second quarter results before the opening bell. Economists say Darden could show signs of a major turnaround. The company has been working to boost profits and gain financial flexibility. Also, look out for earnings from FactSet Research (FDS) and Dave & Buster's Entertainment (PLAY). On the economic calendar, we keep our eyes on housing starts, the most closely followed report on the housing sector. We also await the PMI manufacturing index for December.
