CVS, Chevron Earnings: What to Watch on Wall Street for May 1

On Friday, May 1 we keep an eye on three notable quarterly earnings reports including V.F. Corporation (VFC), CVS Health (CVS), and Chevron Corp (CVX). The oil giant is expected to announce its first-quarter financial results before the opening bell. Last month, the company said it plans to grow net production within the next couple of years. TheStreet's Jim Cramer thinks Chevron will have good production numbers coming out of the Gulf of Mexico. On the economic calendar we note the PMI manufacturing index, the ISM manufacturing index, the consumer sentiment level, and construction spending data.
