Hard seltzer has become a cultural phenomenon.
Ben Weiss, the founder of Bai Antioxidant Beverages and Crook & Marker, discussed the rise of the hard seltzer industry and his thoughts on where this industry goes next.
So what is Crook & Marker?
"Crook & Marker is reimagining alcohol with a portfolio of USDA Organic zero-sugar beverages that are bursting with flavor and made with organic supergrain alcohol. Available nationwide in Spiked & Sparkling, Spiked Soda, Spiked Tea, Spiked Lemonade and Spiked Coconut varieties, Crook & Marker beverages are made with our organic BaseBrew® alcohol, which is carefully crafted using organic quinoa, amaranth, millet and cassava root. It’s a modern twist on ancient grains, so you can enjoy infinite flavor with zero guilt," says the website.
Now in comparison, White Claw's website says, "White Claw Hard Seltzer is made from a blend of seltzer water, our gluten-free alcohol base, and a hint of fruit flavor. Check below to see our full ingredients and nutrition labels."
And seltzer is proving to be a lucrative venture for companies such as Boston Beer, which announced growth in Truly Hard Seltzer and Twisted Tea but this was offset partly by decreases in its Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, and Dogfish Head brands.
