Advertisers need to take note that travel bookings made on mobile devices are growing far faster than those made on desktops, said Mollie Spilman, chief revenue officer for Criteo. Furthermore, she said the average booking values on mobile are now equal to or higher than desktop. The average booking value for air travel was 21% higher on mobile devices than on desktops and 13% higher for car rentals, according to a Criteo study. Spilman added that click-through rates are higher on mobile devices than on PCs across most industry verticals. Finally, she said the value of bookings by device varies across categories with an average of $600 more spent on packages booked on the iPad compared to those booked via an Android device.
