Cramer Will Be Watching the Boeing Earnings for Outlook, Not Trading
TheStreet's Jim Cramer is keeping an eye on Boeing (BA) as the global aerospace giant is set to report earnings before the market opens on Wednesday. Cramer says that ‘there is always a lot of hoopla around Boeing’s earnings.’ But Cramer wants to give his viewers ‘a little heads up.’ ‘The first ten minutes of Boeing’s trading has been wrong consistently for literally the last eighteen months,’ Cramer says. ‘It’s just incredible. It’s like clockwork.’ Cramer says that for the past year and a half people have been bidding up shares of Boeing when they should not and ‘sell it down and they shouldn’t.’ But Cramer doesn’t believe in just trading Boeing and instead likes to look at the company for its long term outlook. As an alternative to just trading the stock, Cramer suggests that investors ‘wait until the part of the Boeing call where they give you the guidance.’ Shares of Boeing are trading 11% higher year-to-date.
