President Donald Trump left Walter Reed to go back to the White House yesterday evening. He remains at the White House, where there is an outbreak of the virus that has impacted senior officials including Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Vice President Mike Pence has once again tested negative on Tuesday.

According to Johns Hopkins, There are over 35.5 million cases of the virus worldwide, with over one million deaths.

The U.S. has surpassed 7.4 million cases with 210,000 deaths.

And some top military leaders are quarantining following the vice commandant of the Coast Guard Charles Ray, tested positive for the coronavirus and is now quarantining at home per a statement from the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard added that it’s “following established policies for COVID, per CDC guidelines, to include quarantine and contact tracing."

And White House Physician Sean Conley released a statement saying that President Donald Trump “reports no symptoms” and that his “vital signs and physical exam remain stable.”

And remdesivir, which the President is currently being treated with, is reportedly facing shortages. Hospitals in the Netherlands have reported they cannot currently order the drug from Gilead.

In the U.K., National Health Service hospitals were issued an alert last week that warned of an “increased demand against available supply,” telling doctors to be more selective about the patients given the drug.

And, finally, Facebook removed a post from President Trump that violated its policy against sharing misinformation about the virus. The post from Trump stated that the flu was responsible for more deaths than the coronavirus, which is false. According to the CDC, preliminary data from Oct. 1, 2019 to April 4, 2020, suggests that there have been 24,000 to 62,000 deaths from the flu. Since 2010, there have been between 12,000 to 61,000 deaths from the flu annually.
