KITCO NEWS - Although gold continues to provide a solid portfolio base for investors, one best-selling author says he is more bullish on copper. Copper prices have been on the rise, outperforming gold prices, since the U.S. election with President-elect Donald Trump's surprise win. 'I've been telling people that oil in effect is energy, energy without the use of fossil fuels is electricity and electricity requires copper.' He added that as society moves towards sustainable energy sources, demand for copper will rise.
