Shares of Colgate-Palmolive (CL) - Get Report were on the rise despite posting mixed quarterly results. The consumer products maker reported earnings of $0.70 a share, which barely topped estimates. But revenue of $3.85 billion fell just shy of Wall Street's prediction. Organic sales grew 4.5 percent year-over-year, something that pleased CEO Ian Cook in the face of challenging macroeconomic conditions worldwide. The stock has climbed more than 10 percent since the beginning of the year.
