Coke Grabs a Stake in Green Mountain's Keurig Business

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters signs an exclusive deal with Coca-Cola to bring Coke products to its Keurig Cold, which launches next year.

Coca-Cola is spending $1.25 billion for a 10% stake in Green Mountain Coffee Roasters to get in on the at-home beverage business. Green Mountain will launch Keurig Cold in 2015 and will be the exclusive partner for Coke brands. SodaStream is the current market leader for at-home beverage machines and the stock is dropping as the news, while Green Mountain stock is soaring. For now there are no details as to which Coke brands will be available in K-cups.
