As we near the end of the fourth quarter earnings season, results so far have been to upside. Liz Miller is the president of Summit Financial Advisors and says she's not surprised by earnings, 'results have been consistent with the past year with earnings up over 7% year over year.' But there are other catalysts at play including the strong U.S. dollar, especially for companies that do business overseas. But Molson Coors reported its profit was hurt by the dollar. This week, we get a tap into the American consumer with retail sales out Thursday and Consumer sentiment on Friday. Miller says 'consumer sentiment might be a good indicator of current investor sentiment too.'
