Closing Bell: Yahoo! Confirms 2014 Hack; Nasdaq Clocks New Record
Relief over the Federal Reserve's slow-and-steady rates plans fueled another day of gains on Thursday. The Nasdaq clocked a record close for the second session in a row. Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) - Get Report rose after announcing plans to offer $225 million in common stock. Proceeds will be used to bankroll further clinical trials and R&D. Yahoo! (YHOO) confirmed reports that 500 million users had been affected by a hack in 2014. The tech company said users' email addresses, phone numbers and passwords may had been compromised. Amazon (AMZN) - Get Report rose after being upgraded to BUY from HOLD at Argus. The firm said the company is experiencing growth and expanding margins at a faster pace than the stock currently factors in. TheStreet's Keris Lahiff reports from Wall Street.
