The week started so poorly for markets that some bulls began revising their 2015 forecast, but Wednesday's trading gave the market a gift back: triple digit gains on the Dow and 1%+ increases across all U.S. indices. With markets hitting high notes at the close Wednesday, it must provide optimism to traders going into a busy earnings day Thursday. The markets also had good news coming from crude oil, which many market watchers pray stops its slippery slide. And gold touched an intraday high of $1216.13, marking a solid start for commodity players who lost out last year.
