U.S. stocks wrapped up the final trading session of May on Tuesday and posted gains for the month. The S&P 500 rose 1.5 percent in May, while the Dow Jones Industrials Average eked out a gain of under 0.1 percent. The tech heavy Nasdaq wrapped up the month to the upside by three percent. Boeing (BA) - Get Report was the worst performing stock in the Dow Industrials on Tuesday, falling over two percent after analysts at Canaccord Genuity reiterated their HOLD rating on the stock, citing concerns about a delay in the delivery of its KC-46 tanker to the U.S. Air Force. Walt Disney (DIS) - Get Report shares also pushed the Dow down after its new movie, 'Alice Through the Looking Glass,' brought in only $34.1 million in U.S. ticket sales over the weekend, missing estimates of $60 million. Monsanto (MON) shares were on the rise after reports suggested Bayer could propose a higher takeover offer, eclipsing the initial $122 a share offer that Monsanto rejected. The new bid could come this week. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
