Stocks largely ignored another day of crude oil losses. The energy sector rebounded after days of losses, even as crude oil closed below $37 a barrel for the first time since before the Great Recession. GoPro (GPRO) jumped after another analyst put forth the idea of the company as an acquisition target for Apple (AAPL). FBR & Co. analysts suggested the camera maker could give a boost to Apple as it branches out from its dependence on smartphone sales. Twitter (TWTR) closed higher after announcing it will begin showing ads to people using the site who are not logged in. The new initiative could generate an extra $1.25 billion. Twitter will begin testing on desktop.
