Stocks climbed as evidence of an economy on the mend overshadowed a slump in crude oil prices. Third-quarter GDP in the U.S. was upwardly revised on the back of robust consumer spending. Crude oil was a big drag, though, as doubts resurfaced over whether major oil producers could agree to a production cut. Iran reportedly argued that OPEC members that had increased output in recent months should bear the burden of a freeze. OPEC members will meet tomorrow. Pfizer (PFE) - Get Report was upgraded to OVERWEIGHT from EQUAL WEIGHT at Barclays. Analysts said the company should be able to use foreign cash to boost returns. Wells Fargo forecasts that Boeing (BA) - Get Report could up its dividend by 10% to 15% when its board meets in mid-December. The firm kept a NEUTRAL rating on the stock.
