The report could make or break the case for a September hike. August vehicle sales came in short of estimates with some arguing the industry may have hit a plateau. Ford (F) - Get Report was one of the worst hit with a 25% slump in passenger car sales dragging down its overall performance. Walmart (WMT) - Get Report shares climbed following reports of job cuts. The world's largest retailer will reportedly cut 7,000 back-office positions, automating some of the dutiesWynn Resorts (WYNN) - Get Report rose after Macau gaming returned to growth for the first time since May 2014. Gross gaming revenue at Macau rose just over 1% in August.
