Investors grappled with fresh concerns about China's economy, following weaker-than-expected retail sales and industrial production data on Monday. Anthony Chan, chief economist at JPMorgan Chase, expects slightly weaker growth out of China in the coming months. Back in the U.S., he said Friday's better-than-expected retail sales data is confirmation that the weak consumer spending seen during first quarter will be revised higher.
