Exports from China to North Korea rose 20.9% in the first three quarters of 2017. Imports from North Korea decreased by 16.7% during the same period. That means the total trade figure only increased by 3.7%
The figures come after China stated that it would restrict trade with North Korea on a number of products, as nations around the world increase economic sanctions on the rogue nation.
Along with the restrictions on trade, China has banned mainland lenders from doing business with individuals in North Korea.
