Reports earlier this week said ten Apple products were on a government procurement list in June but were left off the list in July, suggesting the items were now being banned due to security concerns. But now China says that Apple products were not banned and did not make this list because necessary paperwork had not been completed. "Even though Apple has the certification for energy-saving products... It has never provided the necessary verification material and agreements according to the regulations," the Finance Ministry said in a fax sent to Reuters. Apple products can still be purchased by Chinese government agencies if those items are not on the energy-saving list.
