Check Out How Awesome the Lake Forest Starbucks Reserve Is
Starbucks (SBUX) - Get Report Reserve, or Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room, is the coffee conglomerate's line of higher end cafes that cater to those who want more elevated drinks than the usual PSL or Pike Place Roast. There's no mermaids in sight, and in lieu of other usual branding is a large letter "R".
While staying in Lake Forest, IL, I got to enjoy this caffeinated wonderland. Here are some of my main takeaways:
The sheer size of it
There were multiple sitting areas, including one by a large fireplace and a decently sized outside space. Not to mention an insanely nice looking restroom.
The drinks
In addition to affogatos, there were nitro cold brews and whiskey barrel-aged cold brew for the true coffee connoisseur.
The prices
The least expensive item I saw on the menu was a Doppio for $3.50.
The swag
In addition to elevated offerings for sale (Reserve branded mugs, fancier roasted beans) there was also cold brew glassware.
