Check Out Ford's Sweet New High Performance Mustang GT350

Ford revealed its new Mustang, the Shelby GT350 and GT350R, their most track capable and street legal Mustangs yet. The Shelby GT350 and GT350R are tributes to the original GT350 competition model that was built in 1965 and helped secure Ford’s name and brand to the annals of racing history. The new GT350 boasts over 500 horsepower, new race inspired features such as customizable shift indicator lights and the first production model flat-plane crank-shaft. Ford has a history of taking the research and development that has been applied to its track vehicles and bringing it to its fleet of other vehicles. ‘We like to bring in new technologies and then really kind of test them, and prove them out, and then eventually cascade them down to the entire lineup,’ said Henry Ford III, Ford’s Performance Global Marketing Manager. Previous RnD track innovations, such as Ford’s Ecoboost engine, were born out of a need for more efficiency and consumer demand, according to Henry Ford III, ‘efficiency is clearly on the mind of our customers.’ The Shelby GT350 and GT350R have a limited production run for 2015, with only 100 GT350s and 37 GT350Rs, all of the 2015 GT350 an GT350Rs have sold out.
