Chanticleer CEO: Hooters Concept Translates Easily Abroad
The Hooters restaurant concept translates extremely well to foreign markets says CEO of Chanticleer Holdings Mike Pruitt in an interview with TheStreet.com's Gregg Greenberg.
The Hooters restaurant concept translates extremely well to foreign markets because it seems every nationality appreciates "cold beer, good food and pretty girls," said Mike Pruitt, CEO of Chanticleer Holdings. Chanticleer currently owns and operates 12 Hooters restaurants outside the U.S. and expects to have 18 by the end of the year including outposts in Brazil, South Africa and Australia. Pruitt said higher beef prices have raised costs not just at Hooters but at his domestic chain, American Roadside Burgers. Pruitt also said the World Cup has been a huge driver of business and has helped grow the brand abroad.
