The biggest tech show of the year is here, again.

The Consumer Electronics Show, CES, is a virtual event this year.The pandemic is forcing a digital experience, for the first time in its 54-year history.

CES, the global tech event that embodies innovation, opens to the public on Monday, January 11, 2021 and ends on Thursday, January 14, 2021.  Press events kicked off over the weekend.

5 Things to Watch at CES 2021

COVID-19 & Technology

The pandemic is accelerating innovation in this area. 

Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR )and Mixed Reality Technology (XR) will be showcased at the event. These technologies are being used for virtual doctor visits, education and even to solve shipping and delivery challenges.

Robotics & Machine Intelligence

Expect to see autonomous machines that will not only wow, but will transform industries like healthcare and mobility. The robots of the future will even take care of household tasks.

LG is expected to show off a robot that reportedly radiates ultraviolet light to disinfect high-traffic areas.

Drones, The Next Generation

Drones have been big at CES for some time. This year, it’s the next wave of advancements in Drones. Experts say these flying devices will revolutionize the way we operate.

What can we expect?

There are reports that Sony will fully reveal Airpeak. The aircraft powering its new drone business The company has given us hints at what this will look like.  But, this will be the first time it will be fully revealed. 

Electronic Vehicles & Concept Cars

Make way for concept cars!

A slew of automakers will show off their newest technologies Among them, Mercedes-Benz will introduce its AI-based concept car. It includes a hyperscreen dashboard that, among other things, recognizes user’s voices.

5G Enabled Television, At Last

Last, but not least.

There are reports that on the last day of the Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung Electronics ( (SSNLF) )  will unveil its 5G-enabled Galaxy S21 family. At last, a 5G TV that actually is 5G.
