Spain's Constitutional Court had suspended the session of the Catalan Parliament scheduled for next week
Catalonia's Parliament will defy the Spanish government and meet on Monday, despite a ruling by the country's Constitutional Court which suspended the plenary session scheduled for next week.
Regional leaders are expected to use the session to declare Catalonia's independence from Spain, following the contentious referendum in the region.
The court had previously declared that the region's referendum on independence was held illegally.
