Can the Next Administration Bring Back Lost Energy Jobs?
Sunday's presidential debate featured a question about lost jobs in the energy industry. An industry trade group offers ideas to get those jobs back.
Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were asked about job losses in the energy industry during Sunday's debate, but the next administration has the opportunity to create new jobs, according to the American Petroleum Institute. 'I think both candidates have to remember the fact that the United States is now the largest producer of oil and gas in the world. We are reducing carbon emissions to their lowest level in twenty years,' says Karen Moreau, API's executive director in New York. API earlier this year shared a report with both political parties' platform committees, urging against over regulation and encouraging private innovation and investment in energy.
