Northern California continues to lead the country in pricey homes while Cleveland tops the most affordable list, said Budge Huskey, CEO of Coldwell Banker. According to the Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report, the average four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Los Altos, CA costs $1.96 million primarily as a result of the boom in Silicon Valley. Huskey said 9 out of the top 10 most expensive housing markets were in California, yet at this juncture he does not see froth in the market because the underlying economy is growing. Finally, Huskey said Cleveland is rebounding because the city is trying to attract new businesses and young entrepreneurs.
