Buy Alibaba Instead of Amazon, Tesla Shares Too Volatile to Ride

Alibaba's growth story and fat margins make it a far better investment than Amazon, said D.R. Barton, Chief Technical Strategist at Money Map Press. Barton added that Alibaba's first earnings report proved that the company could live up to the pre-IPO hype. He said Google shares will see headwinds as a result of European Union regulatory pressure in addition to a spending hike over its wireless plan. Barton also believes that Apple still has room to grow and the upcoming Apple Watch will be successful. Finally, Barton is wary of Tesla's stock saying the electric car-maker's business model is unproven even though its product is impressive.
