Meatless fans, rejoice.
Burger King is adding another item to its plant-based meat menu: the Impossible Croissan’wich.
Beginning at the end of January, Burger King will begin testing out its new meatless breakfast sandwich in five cities: Savannah, GA, Montgomery, AL, Lansing, MI, Albuquerque, NM, and Springfield, IL. In total, the sandwich will be tested in 139 stores.
The sandwich is made with egg, cheese, a toasted croissant, and the Impossible Sausage.
This isn’t the first time Burger King has bet on meatless, and it may not be the last. After the Impossible Whopper debuted in Burger Kings in August 2019, parent company Restaurant Brands International reported nearly 5% same-store sales growth at stores.
The Impossible Croissan'wich should help Burger King compete in the crowded and competitive fast food breakfast space.
Impossible Foods, which makes the now-famous Impossible Burger, unveiled its newest meatless offerings at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
