Auction house Sotheby's is preparing Bunny Mellon's estate auction, which is expected to generate more than $100 million. Some 2,000 items will be sold, ranging from trinkets and handbags to paintings worth more than $30 million. The auction starts on Nov. 10 and will span nine days. Proceeds from the auction will go to Mellon's charity, the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation, which supports horticultural and educational projects. Mellon died in March at age 103. The valuables sold at the auction were from her Upperville, Virginia estate, which is on the market for $70 million.
