Buick Unveils 2017 LaCrosse Flagship Sedan at LA Auto Show
The all-new 2017 Buick LaCrosse will be the flagship car of the reinvigorated brand and the company hopes it will attract the interest of millennials looking for more luxury at a lower price point. Buick's Duncan Aldred said, 'Because of the technological advances of this car and because of the athletic styling, we believe it can have a much broader reach and really act as a fantastic flagship for our brand.' Aldred said it is the most technologically advanced car the automaker has ever built. On the safety front, the automaker says it designed the car to earn a five-star safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Association. The 2017 LaCrosse will also be roughly 300 pounds lighter than its predecessor which Aldred said should enable a smoother ride and better overall driving experience. Buick has seen its sales continue to climb over the past five years and Aldred hopes that will continue. 'Between mainstream brands and luxury brands, this vehicle will fulfill that space.' In China, the company says there have been 'a few bumps in the road' but that conditions appear to be improving. 'October was the best month ever in China. We sold 100,000 Buicks in one month and we are on track for another record year to sell a million vehicles in China.' TheStreets Ruben Ramirez reports from the Los Angeles Auto Show.
