Sinclair Broadcasting  (SBGI) - Get Report provided a glimpse into the fallout from the cancellation of professional sports games last year in its fourth quarter earnings release.

This week on Sport of Money we explore the relationship between broadcasters like Sinclair, distributors like Verizon  (VZ) - Get Report Fios and Comcast  (CMCSA) - Get Report, the sports leagues themselves and the fans.

On the one hand, Sinclair is on the hook for $420 million in payments to its distributors for games that weren't broadcast because they were canceled.

On the other, sports leagues paid Sinclair more than $600 million in rebates due to games that were not played.

Check out the video above as we dive into the numbers.
