Optimism in Britain's financial sector slumped in the second quarter of 2017 according to a survey by CBI and PwC. The reason behind the slump is believed to be the increasing and continuing uncertainty over the terms of Brexit.
A slowdown U.K. retail sale slowed amid a pullback in spending linked to the country's surging inflation and slowing growth. This was reflected in June figures, which showed that despite arm weather & celebratory events, rising inflation caused retailers to keep their wallets closed.
