The bond market is stuck due to a dovish Fed, while foreign stocks are plagued by growth problems as a result of their flagging economies. Put all the pieces together and investors are best off sticking with domestic stocks, said Tim Clift, chief investment strategist with Envestnet /PMC (ENV) - Get Report . 'Over the next few months it may be a little choppy, but if you are investing for the year or longer, really the only upside is in the equity markets,' said Clift. 'Fixed income is unlikely to have any positive news unless we go into deflation, which I think is unlikely.' Clift said instability in the Chinese economy and the increasing potential of a so-called Brexit in June certainly hurt the case for foreign stocks.
